I loved this picture.. I was sitting on another chair on my parents back porch and Emma was sitting on the swing just talking away to my dad.. it was really cute.

I do not have many pictures of Holly with Emma and I captured this one yesterday, it was really cute, they were laughing and giggling with each other..meant a lot to me.

Memorial Day Weekend/Emma Birthday

Memorial Day cookout/great grandma hains 82nd birthday party, having fun swinging on the swing papa put in the backyard.
I had my spot front n center with the weller family for the parade..it was pretty short and sweet, but we still like to go and watch it.

It was awesome..Emma was so excited for her elmo cake. we had 2 parties for her saturday, it worked out great, just alot of work for mommy and daddy, but we didnt care. We had the family party from 11-1 and then had a bunch of friends over from 5pm on.. a great time. I love this one of her trying to fit the whole piece of cake in her mouth!!

We could not of asked for a better weekend weather wise. We are blessed with a big backyard and so the kids had a blast running around on the swingset, playing in the baby pool and the slip n slide. here emma and cousin kaylee are catching some rays...

Yes, the swingset is finally done. Hope to enclose it maybe but I think that Daddy and Aunt Jody did a great job, thanks for the hard work!!!

I love this pic captured of emma and I by aunt audie!!

Emma and her cousin tyler. they are 4 months apart.

mamaw gilbert and emma enjoying the new swingset.

Happy Birthday Emma. She just loved getting her elmo cake.
It was an awesome weekend all around... saw lots of family and lots of friends and enjoyed the great weather!!!

EMMA KAREN IS 2!!

My little girl turned 2 yesterday... wow how time flies...
Allright Mommy, this cupcake is really good but could you please get me a wipe, or about 10 wipes...the pink icing on the princess cupcakes just added to the fun!!

I think I have realized that I really could get used to this icing thing... forget about the cupcake itself..bring on the sugar!!

I had to get a before shot...

When I got off work yesterday I took princess cupcakes and dora party hats over to Mandy's house to have a birthday celebration for Emma. These are 3 of the kids that come to Mandy's. Emily, Joe, and Adi. We went outside to enjoy the beautiful day, it was awesome!! As you can tell, Emma loved her cupcakes. I then took Emma to her 2 year check up at the doctor and wow, Dr. Mary had lots of good things to say! First, Emma is pretty much potty trained, I am so excited about this!! She is now telling us when she has to go...I am going with underwear tomorrow..we shall see. She weighs 32.6 pounds and is 37 inches tall. She is very tall for her age Dr. Mary said and actually a tad underweight for her height, but doc said that is just fine! Developmentally she said Emma is milestones ahead in her speaking and knowledge...allright, made mommy proud I must admit...but also sad, I don't want her to grow up yet.. the past 2 months she has become a different child...we actually have conversations with each other. But, at night, I know I still have my little girl when it comes to cuddle time..I hope that never stops!! We are having her family/friends party on Saturday, so more pics to come then!! Happy Birthday little girl...your daddy and I are taking in every moment of it all..love you with all my heart!!

Swingset Time...

Allright, so Emma got a swingset for her birthday. Brad and I shopped around and ended up finding one we liked and would be perfect for Emma at Andersons. We went to go and pick it up and got all the lumber etc. and they asked if we wanted to pay 150.00 for them to come and assemble it. I was all about it, but Brad said we can handle it...NOT!! Ow my goodness sakes, note to anyone that buys a swingset, let them put it together!!!! So, my sister and Brad began the assembly on Saturday, let me just say, it is going to take forever. Emma's party is on Saturday, so the goal is to have it done by then.. lets hope this happens!!! I swear you must have a masters degree in swingset preparation to accomplish this task. I enjoyed playing with Emma and pulling all the weeds around the house, I hate pulling weeds, but knew that Brad and I would probably kill each other if I tried to help him out!! More pics to come, hopefully of it being assembled!!!

Baby Elephant at Zoo..

This was a really fun little trip to the zoo that Emma and I made on Sunday. I decided that I really needed some just Emma and mommy time, so daddy went to church on Sunday and Emma and I headed to the zoo in the morning. I knew by going early like this that hopefully the line would not be too long to see the baby..we only had to wait 15 minutes. It was adorable, I was fascinated by it myself, and of course Emma did not want to leave. She loved watching Beco follow his mommy around and run. It was so darn cute!

Cousin Jessica's wedding..

Jess and Eric got married yesterday, they were suppose to have it outside, but with the rain, they ended up being inside. It still was beautiful and they were able to get outside in the gazebo during the reception for some pics..of course she looked beautiful..off to Disney World they are now..

I have not gotten a picture of Dad and Holly for a long time, this picture of the two of them turned out great I think.

I wanted to get a good picture of my sisters and I with our dad to give him for Father's Day. I love this pic!! I hope he likes it!
Hopefully my sis Aud took lots of notes for her wedding in October..and the rain will hold off for her too lets hope..she is also getting married outside!

Relay for Life 2009

The Argo family...We know the whole family clan and wow has God blessed them...Charlie is a cancer survivor and God definantly was not finished with him yet..Charlie has had many surgeries, chemo, etc. and his health got really bad but by the grace of God Charlie is still with us and doing well.
My father in law dressed up for the miss relay contest...ow gesh... you should of seen some of the men dressed up...Brad did it a couple of years ago

Emma with Brennan Adkins..so cute... there is not a kid that Emma does not want to give 'huggies' too...

Walking the track...Brad's dad is a cancer survivor. He had it and lost an eye from it. He is doing great now though and last year we got him to start participating in it and loves it! We also have to go to relay every year because Emma is a Relay for Life baby!!! I went into labor with Emma 2 years ago at Relay and they announced her birth there!!

This year Relay was celebrating 25 years, so emma had fun putting on the birthday hat and playing with all the trinkets that were laying around...

MOTHER'S DAY...

What an awesome day!! I could not of asked for a better day with Emma. It was almost like she knew that it was a special day for her and me...the day started out great, Emma colored me a picture and gave me a big hug and kiss when she woke up and with the help of daddy of course, got us tickets to go and see Disney Live in October. Thank you daddy and Emma!! She was awesome at church and then we went to lunch with his mom at olive garden. Emma was just hugging and kissing on me all day and of course I was eating it up!!! She wanted to hold my hand when we walked and just be with me. When she got up from her nap we went and bought her a swingset(daddy is going to have fun putting it together)and then visited with my sister for a bit. I even let her stay up later at night just because I didnt want the day to end...

I love Emma Karen with all my heart and I treasure each and every moment with her. I never had the opportunity to know what a mother daugther bond can be like growing up since my mom died suddenly when I was in 3rd grade. I know though without a doubt that I will have that bondwith Emma...thank you God for blessing me with this little girl that will be 2 next week..how time flies..

Family and More Family...

Papa and Mammaw Gilbert on there 44th wedding anniversary with Great Aunt Marge behind them.
Sister Jody and Kaylee at Kaylee's 1st tee ball game.

Aunt Audrey with Fiance Chris holding Emma.

Kaylee up to bat for her 1st game, she hit it right away and did not have to use the tee at all! Yeah Kaylee!!

Papa Weber watched the game and enjoyed holding Emma. What a snack rush... a sucker and cheetos.
This weekend definantly turned out to be a family one...we saw all of our immediate family in one day...Saturday. We are blessed to have all of our immediate family live in Marysville or pretty close to it! I have definantly noticed that since having Emma our days and nights are spent a lot more with family. I want Emma to have lots of memories of her relatives and especially be close to her cousin Kaylee...they already seem to have a great bond with each other. Today we visited my grandma Weber, watched Kaylee's 1st tee ball game ever, and celebrated Brad's parents 44th wedding anniversary. I am pooped, but it was a wonderful day and I would not trade the day for anything. I know that some families are not blessed to have relatives that live close to them and I remember that...I love them all.

Emma and GG

This morning I took Emma up to my grandma's house at Indian lake to visit. My grandma and I have always been close and I want Emma to spend as much time as possible with her. My grandma is 81 and it has been hard this past year because she is really starting to age...
Emma has started calling her GG for great grandma and as soon as pulled in the driveway, she knew that we were at GG's house. About 2 hours it seems is all my grandma has energy for with her...Emma is definantly a busy body! She did find grandma's cookie jar and of course had to have a couple of them, and they enjoyed playing blocks with each other and playing with Emma's doll baby she named Abby. We even went outside for 5 minutes and did chalk in the driveway until grandma got too cold.
I pray my grandma is around long enough for Emma to have some memories with her, I know that I have lots of them and cherish her being such an important part of my life...
