Our 'LATE' Easter Weekend

Not one of my favorite pictures, but I wanted to get a family picture of us in front of the church for our belated Easter celebration weekend. Since Emma was getting over strept throat last weekend, we decided to keep her home on Sunday to play it safe. So, this Sunday we got dressed up instead and celebrated Christ being Risen! Emma got some cheerios during sunday school and refused to depart with the beloved snack, so they are in the pic too... Of course Emma had to have her picture taken with the Weller girls too. They were all dressed pretty in there white dresses also! They are Emma's adopted sisters for sure!

On Saturday the weather was so beautiful that we decided to venture to the zoo. Of course Emma loves the zoo and walking around and checking out her favorite spots, the aquarium, the play area, and this weekend loved painting a balloon that would be used to feed the animals. They had all kinds of earth day activities going on and so it was neat to see all the stuff around us. The new baby elephant had an hour wait, so of course I said we would see that the next time..Emma insisted on wearing her sunglasses on the top of her head how mommy always wears hers.

No Easter Photo's Yet...

Well, I had it all planned out..or so I thought. We will be celebrating Easter thruout this week and Emma will get to wear that pretty pink dress I got her this Sunday instead..

Thursday while we were at Disney, Emma spiked a fever in the afternoon. My immediate thoughts were owww crap... I was really hoping that she was just really tired or maybe it was her molars coming in...I knew she did not feel well though when she did not fight me to sit in her stroller on our last day at Magic Kingdom. We were leaving Friday so Brad and I decided she would be in the car and just wait it out until we get home. Upon arriving home, we went straight to urgent care and found out Emma has strept throat..ow gesh, she has never had this before. So of course we wanted to make sure she did not give it to anyone else so we did not take her anywhere yesterday. Brad and I took turns, me going to church and to my grandma's, then I returned and he went to his family for supper and played euchre. Emma was exhausted, and slept a lot.. so it ended up being ok. Daddy and I enjoyed cuddling with her on the couch watching the Masters golf tournament. Christ is risen, and we can still celebrate this week and every week at church, and take her to see family anytime, so it is ok. I know that I can color eggs with her still, and have an easter egg hunt and enjoy it just as much this weekend as I would have last.. so pictures will be coming later of our families Easter celebration.

DISNEY FAVORITE PICS!

Well, here we go.. thank goodness for laptops or it would be awhile before I would get to post some pictures. Disney was absolutely amazing, but also the most tiring experience.. would I do it again, in a heartbeat..that is because I love Disney and everything about it!!! The week was great, these are just a couple of the 400 pics I took of course, just went thru and picked out a couple. Emma did amazing, and her favorite part had to be getting the autographs of the characters. I bought the book and just thought that I would be the one getting the autographs and just putting them in the scrapbook..nope. Emma saw the Weller girls go up to the characters and of course at first she was a little scared, but went up to them with me holding her, and handed them that magic pen and little book(that someone was a genius and created) and finished by blowing them all kisses. It was adorable. By staying at the resort we got to do the extra magic hours at the parks on different days, that is the way to go!!! Yes, it sucked getting up at 5:30 to catch a 6:30 am bus to the ) all in 2 hours!!! That will be a great memory.. We would stay at the parks in the am, go back to the hotel in the afternoon for emma to nap(and mommy too sometimes) and then hit the parks in the pm again. Emma did great as long as she got thgood nap in. We enjoyed Chef Mickeys for Ella's birthday party, it was crazy, but so worth it. We got to do all the parks and Brad and I even got to ride some roller coasters which was great, thanks to the Wellers. We would take turns watching kids..it was a great trip and I can not wait to do it again..it is the happiest place on earth..so much to do and see. Am I exhausted yes, but can not wait to do it again in a couple years!
