Potty Dance.. Potty Dance

So I am totally cracking myself up right now that I am so excited over something that seems so little, but I guess really is a big deal...atleast in my eyes anyways. Emma is 21 months old and totally wants me to potty train her...great timing in my mind, NOT, as I just began softball and I am not at home with her during the day to train her. Everytime I sit her on the potty she goes, and even sometimes she tells me now 'potty mommy'. Last night we ate at Monarch Pizza for a fundraiser for Trinity and I took her back to change her diaper and she said 'potty mommy' I about flipped when I sat her on the regular toilet there and she went!!! It is so exciting to me, after she goes we do a little potty dance and then we do high fives and she gets a big smile on her face...well, I say let the adventure begin, and for now I will take her when I can and get her used to it and run with it..ow boy..

Emma and Daddy at Gymnastics

My absolute favorite picture of Brad and Emma right now.. I love the smiles on there faces..this was taken at the end of gymnastics on the blow up bouncy
Emma seems to have no fear of the balance beam now and can not wait to walk across the highest one! She loves to go on it and goes forward and sideways..

This week at gymnastics my foot was really bothering me and so I asked Brad if he would follow Emma around during class... of course he was not that inthused, but agreed to do it, I think deep down he was glad that he did.. I of course took the opportunity to snap some shots. It was really cute seeing them interact and how Emma really did like Daddy being her helper tonight!
Emma's teacher is amazed how good of a grip she has on the bars, she lets go of Emma and she can hang on herself for quite a long time. It really is kinda funny this whole gymnastics thing.. I was just going to do it for a one time thing and thought.. well, it will give us something to do and get out a bit.. IHATE WINTER!..but Emma has grown to love going to 'gym' class and so I continue to sign her up for it, what the heck, until she gets tired of it, I think I will keep doing it with her, mommy likes going too, it is quite adorable and fun doing it with a couple other kids that we know in the class!

50 Years.. Just amazing to me..

This weekend I had the joy of taking Emma to my old home town of Columbus Grove to help celebrate my Aunt and Uncles 50th wedding anniversary... Wow, when I think about that I can not imagine, no offense Brad, being married that long.. it seems like forever to me.. and not that many people from our generation I think will be married that long since people seem to be marrying later in life and divorce is second nature. What an honor and something to definantly be proud of!! I only hope that Brad and I are married that long.. It was a wonderful day seeing relatives that I have not seen for many years, and letting them see Emma Karen and sharing that joy in my life with them all..Aunt Mary has a special place in my heart as she is the only relative that I get to see from my mothers side of the family.. so I will always treasure her and the love that she gives me.. I love her spunk for life and the style and sophistication she always has.. she always seems so young at heart too! Here is to many more years of great love Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim!!

Family..

I had to put these pictures on here.. to me they are pretty special. This is Emma Karen's Great Great Aunt and Uncle Anna Kay and Pearl Scheiderer. Anna Kay and Brad's grandma Emma who passed away last year are sisters. Anna Kay is the last surviving sibling. They never had children so the extended family always is around them and is especially helping them right now since they have had some health issues.. to be expected when you are 97! Right now they are living in the Gables and have a pretty nice set up there, but I know they wish they could still be at there farm house.. I did not have any recent pictures of them with Emma and at first she was not sure, but then sat right on there laps and blew them kisses when we left.. God bless them both..

My Little Water Baby..

I have been taking Emma to the Y this winter to go swimming once a week or so.. I have always loved the water and love to swim... I could spend all summer everyday by the pool and in the water. I want Emma to enjoy it too and so I decided I am going to teach Emma to swim.. in my opinion the earlier the better! I am so excited because she seems to share the same love of the water, she jumps right in and today really enjoyed the steps and walking down them and then jumping to mommy. I am still working on getting her to keep her mouth closed when she goes underwater but she kicks away and splashes with her hands. The only part that kills me is that really warm water.. I would rather be in the big pool where the water is colder, but know Emma needs the warmer water for now..

Valentines Day at Family Pizzeria..

Ow my goodness, ow my goodness, I am right now enjoying the peace and quiet of my own house and listening to just Brad and Emma doing puzzles..awww. My sister brought my niece out to visit this afternoon and it was wonderful so K and Em could play and we began talking about dinner and what plans were.. Brad and I enjoyed a nice dinner out last night at Longhorn and saw the movie International.. good flick and we talked to the Wellers and we all decided to go to Family Pizzeria with all the kids for VDAY. Good thought considering it had been a week since we had pizza and we have to have it atleast once a week!! The Grimms and the Mcvoy families decided to join us, and ow my goodness.. this is the whole crew going to Disney.. so we pretty much took the place over, put the adults at one table 9 of us,4 couples plus my sister, and 10, yes 10 kids at the table next to us. Let me just say that you can imagine how loud it was and how much food ended up on the floor and kids walking around back and forth... poor family pizzeria.. and poor Disney World, watch out for this crew.. I think I will be consuming quite a few adult beverages..

Happy Valentines..

Of course she had to try out one of the cookies we made to make sure they tasted ok.. or she just ate the icing off of it..

Allright, something is wrong with my camera, sorry for the bluriness, my husband borrowed my camera, and now this is how the pics are turning out.. bummer, have to work on it. Last night I enjoyed making some cookies with Emma and decorating them.. what fun, yes, I did give her a knife.. scary, but I was right there helping her.. she did pretty good, but of course realized how fun it was to eat the icing!! We also got some valentines to take to the babysitters today.. hope they have fun..

Happy Birthday Brad!

Brad is turning 39 on the 9th, and so isn't my dear friend Christy.. it is quite funny they both have the same birthday and are the same age. Friday night we went out and celebrated there birthdays with some great friends and we went to Benny's for some awesome pizza and then to Cue Stick cafe, our first time there, a really nice place. We had a great time shooting pool and playing shuffleboard. The Wellers, Micheals, Kaufmans, my two sisters, the Seyboldts, Smithbergers, Parks all joined us. It was a great night until... well let me just say that my husband had a REALLY GOOD TIME AND WAS VERY HAPPY...get my drift...

Had to include this picture of my sisters and I. I was so glad they were able to join us Friday night. Audrey is getting married on October 3rd of this year, yeah, and Jody is the wonderful mother to Kaylee who is 4.

FingerPainting Fun

Working hard on her first creation...
So I do not know what made me want to do this tonight, but Emma got some fingerpaints for Christmas and I finally decided that tonight I would get them out for her.. I guess I just have those horrid memories from when I taught preschool of 24 kids fingerpainting at the same time..eek. She of course loved it and enjoyed mixing all the colors, I also thought it was a good opportunity for me to start working on her colors with her... she seems to have blue and red down, yeah, monarch colors!!

57 Days and Counting....

Ok, I had to take a picture of this tonight, Emma is all into Minnie Mouse, gesh, will she overtake Elmo, Mommy can only wish sometimes. She has these two big Minnie Mouses and recently has started playing with them a lot. She plopped a squat on my lap with them tonight and Brad snapped this picture of us. It just got my mind going.... 57 days until we leave for Disney!!!! I really can not wait to number one see the sunshine and to smile continuously from ear to ear for 7 days straight.. that place truly is awesome, ow, I want to go tomorrow!!!

MEET KARDEN FAITH

Proud Mommy Jen and 9 Day old KARDEN FAITH

Tonight Margo, Christy, Robin and I went to Dublin to see Jen and meet baby Karden. She is 9 days old today and just as precious as can be!! We got to visit for a couple hours and it was just awesome, love holding those precious new babies.. Of course Jen and all of us are huge Ohio State fans and Jen said she had to have Karden wear an Osu outfit in honor of us! She even put on this adorable osu headband and osu slippers. Too darn cute! The buckeye basketball team was also playing Purdue and came away with a huge win, yippee!!! It was great. Jen wanted some Benny's pizza and so we brought that to her. She looked awesome and seemed to be doing really well, so welcome KARDEN and congrats mommy JEN!

YEAH STEELERS!!!!

Brad all excited after the STEELERS scored a touchdown!!!
All the kids with there 3 D glasses for the commercial at the beginning of halftime. So much fun, it was so cute seeing it..

What a great time we had. Our friend Karol had a party at her house and we went for the first half knowing Emma would get tired and a work night. It was great! There were a ton of people there, most we knew. Emma was the youngest kid there and had a great time following all the older kids around and chasing after them. Brad and I have always been steelers fans and so it was especially exciting to cheer them on. We all got in a pool for the game and of course a couple of kids won the big money, go figure! And of course what is the Super Bowl without tons of food to eat, everyone brought plenty to share! I always enjoy getting together with other people and hanging out and especially when sports are involved!
